Here, you will find information about our current projects and how you can help make a difference in our community. From helping out at our allotment to the swap shop, our projects aim to create sustainable solutions that have a lasting impact. By working together, we can make a positive change in Birches Head.

POTTER & NATTER FRIENDSHIP GROUP

Wednesday 1:30-3:30pm @ The Bridge Centre

Every week, we offer a variety of activities such as crafts, hobbies, table-top games, and friendly conversations. If you prefer, you can also enjoy pottering outside. We also offer regular taster sessions and workshops covering a wide range of topics, including Tai Chi & Qigong, Better Balance and Falls Prevention, Re-Start A Heart Defibrillator Training, Hula Hooping, Christmas Wreath Making, and Flower Arranging. some weeks we have guest speakers from various groups and organisations.

FREE shop swap shop community exchange

Last Saturday of the month 10am-12noon @ the Bridge Centre

Everything is FREE! We have toys, food, clothes, books, household items and a range of other things that are all free to take away. This helps to prevent waste and offers a chance for the community to come together to share resources to help each other out. You can bring items to swap, you can offer your time or just come along and take what you need!!

Growers Group

Sunday 11:30-2:30pm @ Udallsfield Allotments

We are developing at Udallsfield Allotments grow our own produce. This will be distributed and shared, free of charge, throughout the community and local area.

We will need additional help and support as these projects develop and we will always welcome anyone who can offer time outside these hours to assist with watering, so please get in touch if this is something you can do.

'Ditch the tech'

First Monday of every month @ The Bridge Centre

Ditch the Tech is a fun family session for all ages. It gives families the opportunity to enjoy board games, arts and crafts, darts and live sessions including cooking and craft demonstrations, leaving the tech at the door!

Little Growers

Friday 10am-12pm @ The Bridge Centre

Little growers is a play group for children of all ages and includes toy and clothes swap, as well as crafts, alongside refreshments that are provided for both adults and children. This give a chance for the children to enjoy themselves whilst making friends and for parents or carers to socialise at the same time!

The Potter & Natter Friendship Group are a friendly, happy and caring group from all walks of life. We share lots of things and do various activities. I enjoy it so much!”
